A população de Hemingford decide adoptar as crianças sobreviventes de Gatlin. Infelizmente para os cidadãos bem-intencionados da cidade, as crianças começam a ser catequizadas por Micah, que foi possuído por um demónio enviado por Aquele Que Anda Atrás das Fileiras, a entidade diabólica adorada pelo culto de Gatlin. No decurso de uma semana, as crianças começam a matar todos os adultos da sua nova cidade.
